Climber: These firefighters perform the riskiest tasks. Their task is to climb the roofs and pierce them (at times they also had to puncture them from the inside) to prevent smoke and fire from entering the house and from spreading farther. It's an interesting fact that the firefighters had to dampen the sticks with water to prevent them from catching fire on their own. Climbers also took care of removing already extinguished objects from the house and looked for the source of the fire.
Injector is a person who extinguishes a fire. It was his responsibility to ensure that the flaming objects were completely submerged in water and put out. The other firefighters had to keep an eye out to make sure the heavy water pumping did not damage the hose, even though the injector was operating it. A pump that was also manually operated by firefighters was used to pump the water.
Water supply department: These were firefighters whose main task during a fire is to provide water. These firefighters needed to be aware of every body of water in the area as well as the best routes to get to them. If there were more water bodies, more pumps were used to pump the water. Water was supplied by hand, i.e., a chain of people moved water in buckets, if it was not possible to set up pumps directly from the water body.
The order department was once a group of people that included both regular citizens and firefighters. Their job was to keep everything under control close to the fire scene. They also took care of the items that were removed from the burning house and the animals that were let outside, making sure the area around the fire was closed off to prevent intruders. They also kept an eye on things to make sure that no robbers would take advantage of the confusion.
